Improvement to social media
When writing to someone, I’ll be inspired by what they write. I’ve noticed I’ll start, then go on and on spiraling without input. The text message will reach a point where I get embarrassed by the extent and deviation.
I’ll be unsure what to send. There’s a proliferation of unsent messages I have because of this.
Thought
I also feel truthfully, that my method isn’t bad – just maybe out of fashion. In the past surely longer messages were sent asynchronously? (letters etc) and this is just a fight against prevailing tech.
So, what I think might be best (in a joking way) is a site of unsent messages. Like a passive activity of messaging, where no textual burden is imparted on the reader.
You write a message, and is sorted into an online passworded pile once reaching a length of digression. The person can decide to read it or not.
The problem here becomes Turn Taking and equal input of the parties. It’s not simply a lecture. I am broadcasting my fragments for completion.
So maybe there is then messaging, or annotation that can be done by the reader.
Ah, email?
