I uploaded this site export after adjusting the index, but kept the original export on the webserver. As result of this there were two versions of the site enmeshed within each other, linked in certain places only by the index.
This was a confusing experience where two versions of the site existed within one another. If I deleted a pathway, if you accessed it you’d be on the old site.
Parts felt lost.
It reminds me of a city that is overlaid with another city, and a path down an alley leads you to a completely different place. A store door is labeled but you enter and it’s inescapable, or part of the past or the door you entered has changed completely. The train you took in is empty and full and roped off all at once.
It’s to the point sections could be cut off, accidentally deleted, and I’m not sure I’d notice. There reaches a stage where re-addressing topics feels completely novel again.
