Looking into buying some vintage lenses, like the HELIOS 44-2 f2. When you search, every item has its own character due to the time of production but also due to the wear it has endured.
I saw some sellers commenting on scratches appearing on the glass elements. Something about this was attractive to me. Maybe, the idea of these objects, and glass, and the end fate of all glass is to be scratched or broken. Eventually the task will be to find an object that is preserved, without a scratch. This will be increasingly rare.
