After the new year you detect certain behavioral changes in people you interact with and have to wonder if it is chance, or some internal resolution. I had someone compliment the coat I was wearing, who rarely makes any positive comments of this sort.
I thought immediately is this some kind of resolution? To provide at least one compliment a day.
