You are both freezing and return to the car which was waiting in the parking lot. You hold your hands to the car heater, which is pumping out air on full blast, to warm them in a frantic rush.
They’d say that a car that is pre-heated, or staying in and missing this is a better thing. To not struggle like this.
But this is such a remarkable thing to me. How we have the option to be miserable here, with this inconvenience and pain, but instead smile at one another.
