When trying to explain things, laying out only the explanation seems unsatisfactory or not sufficient to communicate what is trying to be said.
Normally I’ll have some minor insight, (or at least something the feels insightful) as the result of a collection of ideas that are in my head (or experienced in the environment.) I’m not just talking about the word (which you might have different attachments to other words/thoughts with).
This can constitute a gut feeling.
Later I look at it, and these motivations and connections have changed so it feels different on paper. The path is no longer there.
So to explain this, there might be a way of writing and rather than just saying what you want to say, first (as in assembling recipe) you collect all of the ingredients and the reason why you are hungry. Similar to a scientific paper as well.
So to get to this idea, here is what was in my head. Here are my motivations. Here’s where I was at. Attempt to snapshot the brain state.
Rather than launching directly into what you want to say.
I’m not saying this the best way, or only way to do this. But I’m curious if things were arranged in this manner there would be less confusion.
