Utopia was coined in 1551 by Thomas More to depict the name of an imaginary island where there was perfection in legal, social and political systems. It was extended to mean any place with such qualities.

It is literally no where, not a place.

Dystopia

Commonly Utopia’s root for Greek eu- which was reinforced by the introduction of Dystopia. It is an imaginary “bad” place, abstracted from utopia.
