Very little of actual book-ness is captured on the general web, in the space of first page search results.
I can visit different shadow libraries, and download these text, but the structure of a book (the density, focus, copyright?) seems to resist general search engine results.
You can find summaries and reviews.
But the fully body of content of a book, isn’t really there (once again outside of shadow/dark spaces.) Having an e-book or physical book, doesn’t seem obsolete. I can really only source my information in these pages.
This is a strength of a book (ideally a deep elaboration on a subject, fantasy, thought etc), and a limitation of the inquiry you can do in web searches (often a superficial, often gamed view of things).
You’ll necessarily reach a very restricted informational search, and something about the information nature of reading a book resists capture.
At least this is what I feel writing this.
