Commonplace Book
Everyone having a commonplace book that they develop (or that is passively developed – though personal development would be better than something that is just registered, effort should be required).
Then rather than a social media site which is just images, scant text you really have years of notes of interests on display. You could walk through their films, comment and annotate maybe.
Future Dating, No Dating

Furby History of Dating, Calling Anti-Dates
Future dating scenario:
You take care of (live with) your Tamagotchi digital partner (high fidelity, synthetic AI). Behavioral patterns and desires are analyzed. The digital subject becomes a “commonplace book” record of memories and engagement.
These surrogate AI partners are exchanged, possibly including memories, in a matching system that accurately pairs based on desires and use.
On a match, ceremoniously, the face of the previous AI partner is digitally congealed, and the face of the chosen partner becomes partially the experience of the match. It is completely AI still, except for the eyes which are the actual eyes broadcast, of the matched partner, grafted on the AI partner as they engage with your content as they match: watching your memories.
Or you could have climax situation. You carry your AI partner in a manner like a Tamagotchi still, but the personality of your nearest match blends into the device (or rather they meet.) Eventually, this device becomes a direct conduit, where the person you are matched with is directly accessed in the device that once was fully AI.
Thought
Surely they have systems now where people can have their AIs perform the dating, and calculations and then match. Like offloading the tedium of swiping when 90% aren’t fits. It’s just an exhaustive search.
On a more realistic level, a curated journal is made of experiences. These are passively exchanged, and perform matching of partners.
